We have many two- and four-legged friends on the farm: pigs, sheep, chickens, geese and horses. All animals are going outside all year round and enjoy the sun that usually shines on the hill.
We work with Holistic management which is a process of decision making and planning that gives people the insights and management tools needed to understand nature in all aspects: resulting in better, more informed decisions that balance key social, environmental, and financial considerations.
In the context of ecological restioration of grasslands worldwide, managers implement Holistic Planned Grazing to properly manage livestock- mimicking the predator/prey relationships in which these environments evolved. In other words with Holistic managment it is possible to save the nature and people. This is what we are trying to do at Brattlandsgården. And it all starts with the question: How do we want to live our lives? Read more at: www.savoryinstitute.com
Brattlandsgården offers accomodation for 35 people or less in double, triple and four bed rooms. There is a mix of single beds and bunk beds in the rooms and there is a sink in every room. The total area of the living rooms and kitchen is in total 200 square meters which makes the house perfect for conferences, weddings, birthdays, training camps or just a nice vacation with friends and family.
You can choose a level from self sufficient to full service! We can organize different services as a chef, cleaning service and activities.
St. Olavsleden is a hiking trail that goes from Sundsvall in Sweden to Trondheim in Norway that is passing Brattlandsgården and is very nice both for walking and mountainbiking. In winter time we have a 3,8 km cross-country track for classic skiing.
We, Mats and Natasha Skott, run Brattlandsgården since 2010. We have a background in Adventure Races and belonged to the world elite. The races were organized all over the world which gave us the opportunity to discover different types of nature and culture. Nature and meetings with people has always been a big part of our lives. In addition to welcoming all the nice guests at the farm, we work actively with the farm animals, Holistic Management and organizes competitions.
